Finally got the pic taken. I had three of these little tables, found at different yard sales. (must of had a sale on them somewhere ) The one with the table top is before, the painted one is during and the painted one with the silver bowling ball is.....can you guess? After ;D
Yep, that was it! Thanks! I was so happy to get the camera back, I lost my head! Now if I could just fix the date on it, don't know how it got that far back? That ground cover that the ball is in is called beacon silver, I got a little thumb size piece from freecycle last spring, have separated it several times over to neighbors and other freecyclers and it's still going crazy! I've got mulch around it now so it won't go any farther, but I think I'm gonna let it spread for awhile, now that I know it's kinda pretty!
That's just the front yard! The backyard looks like Sandford and Son! I can't part with anything and dh has made the garage off limits so there it all sits! And the only reason the front looks reasonable is because of the picket fence I put around the porch to hide the overflow from out back!
Those tables were a real find and you have even improved on them!
Nice plant, too - so you don't consider it invasive? I should get some of that for the problem areas in my yard.
About packratitis - guess there's no cure for that. We've got it, too, and I hate to think what would happen if we had to live on a city lot again. Prob have to give up yard saling, etc. and that would be a fate worse than.... well, worse than a messy back yard!
I'm sure it could easily get invasive. That area it's in gets NO sun and is a favorite "dumping" ground for an outdoor kitty of mine but yet it grows hardily on! I don't mind it though because it is really pretty, I think. Also, the reason it looks so bushy is because I have mulch all around it so since it couldn't grow out it started going up. Once I give it more room, I'm sure it will thin out. I'm going to pull a bunch of starts from it and plant it in a few problem areas out back. We have a total of 7 trees, all but one are fruit, in our back yard and the yard it's self is only around 20' x 60'. So not alot of sun!
